• It will have to wait until work slows a bit and I have free time.

• It is school holidays and I promised the family we would go to the amusement parks or camping or whatever, will start after the holidays.

• Its such a great day outside must take advantage of this good weather as it is usually wet, cold and miserable, will start tomorrow.

• I just want to read up on this guy's strategies, he is an expert and so many people have said it is worth reading or listen to this guy's video, or attend so and so seminar because I want to really understand before starting.

Talking to family or friends may be discouraging as they do not understand how this whole Internet Business works. They are not interested to learn so try to persuade you not to try or are not very enthusiastic for you to start. They want the security of having a regular paycheque, not risk trying to make money some other way. They think that only the big guys the experts are the ones who are making a success or good living using the internet. When it comes down to it, there is only one reason why we bother promoting affiliate products. What is that reason? To make money, of course! But how do you know if the products you are promoting are going to reward you financially for your efforts? The key is to use the correct marketing methods, coupled with the right choice of product. First of all, you should consider the revenue you receive for each product. Another thing to consider is the Clickbank Gravity of the product (assuming you are using Clickbank). This is a handy little feature of CB that gives you an indicator of whether other affiliates are successfully making sales of a particular product - therefore showing that the product is popular and the kind of thing people are buying. However you shouldn't dismiss low gravity products, particularly if they are new. The only problem with low-gravity products is that it could be a gamble trying to promote them as the product has no previous track record to go by.

Have you thought about offering recurring-payment type products rather than one-off payments? Promoting this type of product means that you get automated recurring sales each month. This type of payment setup is usually used with subscription-based services or websites, and can be a great long-term money earner.

1. Find a good product

Do not sell low quality products, this will ruin your reputation, confidence and you will get tons of refunds. Plus, it simply isn't nice.

3. Respect your list

4. Do not try to sell them bad products or product not relevant to what they told you interests them.

One of the great advantages of affiliate marketing is that, while there ARE limits on what you can make, those limits are pretty far up there! Experienced marketers using well-thought-out affiliate marketing strategies regularly make monthly incomes in five figures and often hit six figures monthly!

Many thousands of affiliate marketers make monthly incomes in the low to mid-range four figures, receiving regular paychecks for commissions earned. Whatever the affiliate marketing programs they participate in, the successful ones are pursuing methodical, effective strategies that they have learned and mastered.

Some build lists of prospects that they send e-mails to on a regular basis. A rule-of-thumb is that every name on your mailing list will/should account for $0.50 to $1.00 in sales (on average) per month. A list of 1,000 prospects and good sales letters should produce $500 to $1,000 in income per month.

Similarly, a list of 10,000 prospects would produce $5,000 to $10,000 per month in income. The affiliate marketing strategies used will normally include a marketing "funnel" whereby good $5.00-7.00 products will be offered and sold to many, leading to $17 products then $37 and so forth. Other effective affiliate marketing strategies may include pay-per-click (ppc) promotion of the latest "hot" products. Marketers look for popular products with good commissions and low cost per click advertising. Then they do tests to find effective key words that bring in more income than they cost.

Once they find keywords that cost them, say $0.30 per click on their ads, convert at 2% and yield commissions of more than $15 per sale, (do the math!) they are making money. Then they just fine-tune to find better key words, cheaper ads while they search for additional products with higher commission dollars per sale.

It gets down to a numbers and probabilities science after a short while. Many Internet marketers make their entire livings in this manner. Your income is determined by the number and size of campaigns you are running and the margins between ad costs and sales commissions as determined by your sales conversion rates.

Still others build niche marketing informational sites to attract visitor/prospects for affiliate marketing products they want to sell. They set up to generate "organic traffic", optimizing their websites with search engine optimization (SEO) techniques, putting up pages of relevant info and getting relevant backlinks.

They get visitor traffic from those who type in searches on their keywords. These searchers then find their websites prominently displayed on the first pages that appear in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). Your income is a function of the number of sites you operate, their sales volume and your costs.

Other workable affiliate marketing strategies worth mentioning include finding a product that is selling and that you believe you could make or create a better product. Then you become active in affiliate marketing of all of the competing product versions to learn the market and learn what buyers are looking for.

In the meantime you start on developing your own product. When you are ready, you begin to push your own product and crush the competition by having a better product and excellent marketing know-how for that product. When you sell your own products, you keep 100% of the proceeds... and get other affiliate marketers to help you!

Yes, there is a big rush for this work from home business in Internet today. By this time you would have browsed through tons of websites that offers e-books and work from home packages. Once you enter affiliate marketing will you ALSO choose to market one of the work from home guides? Let us move into a little jargon,
How many backlinks they would have established already to their websites?
How good will be there Page ranks in top search engines?
How many different modes they use already, like social bookmarking, blogging, videos etc.,?
This thought for a moment can really set you back in your idea of marketing this so called "work from home" product. Without much of a surprise read the next section.

If it is your passion and If you have STUFF!!:

As it is always told and followed this business and for that matter anything that you take up depends on the passion that you have for that. Never mind if millions of people out there doing the same thing. Its your level of passion that will differentiate you from the rest of the crowd. If you are seriously interested in a "work from home" product never even look back that competition behind that product just enter with full confidence. But beware, just passion alone wont do you have to equip yourself with the skills required for that market. TradeDoubler: This is the largest UK Affiliate network. It does not only work with UK. It is for US and many other countries as well. It is just a great way around the tough US Market. If you are successful with Clickbank, then this one will be a breeze.

Commission Junction: This is a Huge and very well established Network. They have many Big companies to be an Affiliate for. These are some of the companies, Ebay, Yahoo, Amazon, and many other biggies. This network features more physical products then digital. That means that commissions will be a lot lower (2%-10%). With this network you have to "apply" with the company that you want to be an affiliate for. The company makes the decision on if they want you for an affiliate or not. The application process of this network is time consuming. That kind of makes this network a negative one for some folks. The application process and the low commission make this a tough network to perform in.

LinkShare: This is another well established network with lots of different products to choose form.

Another option of finding the Right Affiliate Program is to search and study ones that are not listed on an Established Network. This is known as "Stand Alone" Affiliate Programs. But the way you set up your program can affect your affiliates' ability to successfully promote your website, and ultimately determine whether or not your program produces the best possible results. Following these guidelines will help you set up your program to succeed from the start.

1. Determine your base payout rates.
A competitive commission rate will attract affiliates to your program, but you don't want to sacrifice profitability by offering payout rates that aren't affordable for your business model. Look at your company's average order size and then deduct the cost of goods and other overhead costs to determine your average dollar profit. Divide this number by your average order amount -- this is the maximum commission rate (as a percentage) you could offer affiliates in order to break even on every order. Next, look at your competitors' affiliate programs and examine their base commission rates. Using these two metrics, you should be able to find a commission rate that is both profitable to your business and competitive within your industry.

2. Consider performance incentives and bonuses.v Let's say your average profit on a typical order is 20% and you've decided to offer a 12% commission to affiliates. Try to create banners and text links for your company's top-selling product categories and/or brands. Your program's cookie length will determine how much time can pass between a click on an affiliate link and a resulting transaction for the affiliate to earn a commission. If your customers typically convert within a few days of visiting your website, you can make your cookie shorter. If you sell complex or expensive products that customers typically spend months considering before converting, you should make your cookie longer. In general, programs with longer cookie durations are more appealing to affiliates because it gives them more time to make a sale and earn a commission.

6. Decide on an application approval process.
When affiliates apply to your program, do you want an opportunity to review their website(s) and marketing practices before accepting them into your program? Additionally, auto-accepting applications can give other affiliates the impression that you don't care very much about your program.

7. Sell your program with a solid program description.
Your program description is an opportunity to sell your company, products and program to potential affiliates. Make your description compelling by including information on your average order size, conversion rate, competitive differentiation, special promotions, exclusive products, etc. By providing key information about why affiliates will do well with your program, you are more likely to receive more applications. And at the end of the day, the more affiliates that join your program, the more affiliates you'll have promoting your program in the future.

If they're unwilling to give you a first name and an email, what are the chances they're really want to buy anything anyway.

Secondly, part of having a big ebook launch is to collect the emails, so that you can have future launches. Finally, a squeeze page gives you a chance to follow-up. So, it is to your benefit to have a squeeze page. You gain a new prospect on your list, as well as the ability to follow up and explain in more depth why your ebook solves their problem.

Just one important really important point. Do not just go into a blog or forum and try to sell your product directly, try and give advise, try and gain the respect of the forum users and then you can drop in the odd recommendation.

Finally you could email people you know, this could be friends and family who may have the same interest or a social group, fan site, golf club, you name it. Just always remember try to offer advise and why buying this product will be a benefit for the customer not just a cold hard sale.

1st P = Pain

When a customer buys a product it is driven by pain. They need the product to help them, it is an essential item that they require to go through their daily life. Obviously this can be translated very differently depending on the product in question.

For example buying a new car, the pain is not quite as clear, it could be phycological the customer thinks that they need a new car to match their lifestyle or to impress. The customer may require a different type of car such as a SUV or 4x4 as their needs have changed. But the low down fact is that their is a pain involved which leads to a purchase.

A much clearer example is a everyday product such as a kitchen clearer or detergent. The customers pain is that they cannot remove the unsightly dirt and grime from a household appliance.

2nd P = Process

This is the process by which you can fix or solve the customers problem. In the case of the kitchen cleaner problem you might be able to offer a cleaning product that will destroy all types of dirt and grime and leave the appliance looking like new, essentially you can help the customer and remove the pain.

You explain the process or workflow, you can provide the customer with basic essentials such as product descriptions, the benefits and features of the chosen product. A step by step guide to how the product works, what is the end result etc.

3rd P = Proof.

People are skeptical, they don't always trust everything they read or see. How do you combat this, easy, provide the customers with product reviews, testimonials from other customers, case studies and stories.

You need to give the customer some proof that they are not alone in this and other people have experienced the same problem and removed the pain using this product.

If you look at the leading online stores you will see countless comments and reviews for each product, these can include a star rating and a testimonial. This is great way to reassure potential customers that the product will do what they require.

4th P = Profit.

If you can identify the customers pain, provide them a process or workflow on how to remove that pain and finally prove to them that this will work. They will buy from you and you will make profit. Its as simple as that.

How to use this in affiliate marketing.

In the affiliate marketing world this is extremely important, you cannot just simply recommend a product to any customer. Unless the customer is currently in pain and needs that product they will not understand what this product is going to do for them and therefore why should they buy it. You need to target the best product to fix the customers problem. Hold their hand through the sales process and prove to them that this will solve their problems.

Real life examples.

You can use this principle to sell very general products, such as a internet marking course that takes a customer for zero to hero. They have maybe tried affiliate marketing before but have not made any money or even worse have lost money. They are in pain, they now that other people are making money from the internet why can't they.

The second example is a much more focused niche. A customer may be using a pay per click advertising method such Google AdWords, they are losing the battle against their competitors and are throwing bad money after bad. I am a college student in my second year. Needless to say, money is tight. It is hard to work and still have enough time to study and make good grades. I knew that if I wanted to make good grades I had to find some other way to make my money.

I started looking online and found affiliate marketing. When I started it was tough. I could not seem to make any money. I worked on it everyday for about two months.
