The Leptovox "SuperFood" supplement is gaining extreme popularity in the diet world. Is it a fad or is it here to stay? It all depends on whether it works. One is immediately suspect of any pill that promises to be the cure-all for weight loss, acne and wrinkles. Surprisingly, there is some scientific research supporting Leptovox's claims.

Leptovox For Weight Loss

Hands down, the most thoroughly researched weight loss ingredient is Green Tea. It mainly derives its metabolic benefits from epigallocatechin gallate (ECGC) and caffeine. Studies on ECGC alone prove that "EGCG alone has the potential to increase fat oxidation in men and may thereby contribute to the anti-obesity effects of green tea." In another study the average subject lost 11.22 lbs from green tea supplementation alone. With the addition of caffeine, one can expect to lose a significant amount of weight, especially if the appropriate amount is used. Leptovox provides 300mg of green tea standardized to 50% caffeine. That amount is plenty to speed up your metabolism, while not making you shaky like most caffeinated products.

Overall, Green Tea is a very effective weight loss ingredient. Its antioxidant properties decrease inflammation and therefore help with acne and wrinkles.

Another great weight loss ingredient is Cayenne Pepper. Its active ingredient is capsaicin, which is used as an Ephedra alternative. It purports itself to have similar metabolic benefits, without the deadly side effects. I use it almost every day, sprinkling it on chicken and eggs (my favorite foods).

Leptovox For Acne and Wrinkles

The cause of both acne and wrinkles is is rooted in inflammation. Leptovox includes Acai and the already mentioned, Green Tea--both potent antioxidants that alleviate inflammation. The other ingredients add plenty of healthful benefits. For example, garlic is known for its cholesterol reducing benefits and wheatgrass has up to 20 times more nutrients than other vegetables.

The primary anti-wrinkle agent is idebenone, a patented organic compound. There is a widely accepted theory of "Free Radical Aging." That is that free radicals (mostly from the sun and pollution) affect the body in such a way that we begin to age, causing among other things, wrinkles and age spots. Idebenone, as a topical cream, is often regarded as one of the best deterrents to free radical skin damage, and can promote regeneration.

Leptovox's site claims that you will lose 30 pounds in 30 days. There is no evidence to support that. I would say it is possible, but highly unlikely. I would say that most people should expect to see the same results as the first review I cited: 8lbs in two weeks.

Leptovox Safetey

Leptovox gets an A+ for safety. It's light on stimulants, which is good for most people. It contains 150mg of caffeine. If you can handle stimulants well and just care about losing weight fast, Leptovox may not be hardcore enough for you and I would recommend something else, like Fenphedra. However, if you want a safe, effective pill with a long list of benefits, Leptovox is the way to go.

Leptovox Conclusion

I recommend Leptovox. It gets an 8.5/10 for weight loss. As an overall pill, it gets a 9.5/10. Judging by the ingredients and customer reviews, it should live up to its claims, but if it doesn't Leptovox will refund you.
